I purchasd a "bubble gauge" years ago from NAPA for the soul purpose of adjusting the choke on the Q-J. It has a magnetic base that sticks to the choke butterfly and a adjustable bubble float with a degree plate. It comes with directions. Your carb rebuild kit will list the # degree required. It works perfectly. Can't tell you how much $ it costs, but I'll bet if your going to use it more than once, it's worth it. My gauge is at work, including the box it came in, if you want , I can post the part # and you can contact a NAPA and get a price.
