Rear cab mount replacement

Does anyone know if you can get a rear cab mount replacement piece for an 86 c10? I'm talking about the piece that is attached to the rear of the cab and it goes full length left to right, mine has 2 placed close to the cab mounts that getting pretty bad.

Re: Rear cab mount replacement

Has anyone ever had this problem? It's basically the only rust I have except cab corners.

you will have to get a used one. I can check on a floor piece I have and see if it was cut out with it.

Re: Rear cab mount replacement

Dmax21,

My truck cab has a rusty/rotten section as well in the rear cab mount area. Seems like there isn't a reproduction chunk being made to replace it that I can find.

Maybe they figure if it is bad back there, the rest of the cab isn't much better. In my case they are totally right, as I think a rust free cab would be best for me in the long run.

If you decide to try and replace the mount let me know. I have one and the original poster wasn't interested. It is a clean rust free AZ Part
