cigarette lighter delete?

I was getting the gas peddle assembly out of a buddies old 71 Chevy Longhorn and I noticed a plastic plug where the cig. lighter would be, no chrome bezel, just the plug. Would that have been factory and if so, what is it worth? Just curious, not wanting to sell it.

Re: cigarette lighter delete?

Is there a provision for a cigarette lighter even with a delete. That is, is there a wire with a plug dangling behind the dash?

I didn't check for a wire or connector, was just surprised to find that plug.
Also I can't believe I spelled pedal that way! LOL

Re: cigarette lighter delete?

I had a 68 GMC with one option, WSW Tires. Black plug in cigarette location, radio delete, heater delete. It was given to a gentleman as a retirement award. Stupid me sold it....

Re: cigarette lighter delete?

The Cigarette Lighter wire is a stand alone wire that runs from the fuse block to the back of the lighter housing. It will not be on trucks that have the cigarette Lighter delete option.
