Measurement of power steering valve

Help needed. I have a 72 2wd blazer that I swapped an ls into a few years back. I did swap the power steering nut and valve into the back of the ls pump. Long story short the ps pump went bad and had both the new one and the old on the work bench and was right in the middle of putting the valve etc into my new pump and the phone rang .. . .. .. now i'm not sure which is which. One is about 1/8 long. Can someone measure either a stock 72 valve or an ls power valve and post so I can put things back as they should. I promise not to answer the phone again while dealing with similar parts.

Re: Measurement of power steering valve

If you look in where the hosw screws on you should be able to see the taper part where the double flare from the older hose seats against it. The o ring one will look different.

Thanks ls1nova. I had hoped you'd chime in. It's not the fitting I messed up it's the valve that goes inside the pump

Oh, I see. Well I just took an old pump I have in the garage apart and either it doesn't have that part or its stuck down in there..

Re: Measurement of power steering valve

OK, I hit it and it popped out. What did you need a measurement of?
