5.3 LS Engine Bearings
I bought a junk yard 5.3 LM7 very cheap. Tore it down and the cylinders
and rod bearings look great. I was gonna replace rod bearings anyway. Do I need to go further and replace crank and cam bearings also ? Was told engine had 130,000 miles on it. Thanks Craig |

This needs to be in the LSx Swaps forum. I will move it. I don't ever believe what someone says on mileage unless they can prove it. Then I am still skeptical. LockDoc

What Leon said...
If you've already got it that far tore down, why not just put all new stuff in it...then you'll know.. Be aware that you'll need to replace all the t.t.y. bolts.. And the oil pump will need shimmed...
