Headlight question

I'm looking to wire up my headlights, but I have a question about the polarity of the headlamp bulb

I know that the upper prong of the bulb is for the low beams, what side of the 2 lower prongs is ground, and what side for high beams.

Thanks

Re: Headlight question

This is one I had saved from a while ago, colors might not be correct for our trucks, but the descriptions are....

I think the our trucks are (tan or brown) for low beams

(Green) for ground for High beams

Black for Ground.for ground for High beams

Is that correct ?

Re: Headlight question

On my 62 these are the wires I used to trigger relays:

Light brown/tan = low beam 12v
Light Green = high beam 12v

To add off of bhaps comment, this would be a good time to add headlight relays since you are in the process of wiring them. The improved lighting when running stock style headlights with the headlight relay is one of many advantages with this setup.
