Hood hinges
I just sand blasted my hood hinges, and now must decide what to do to them.
My hood will be painted red, both outside and underneath. The firewall is red The inner fenders are red as well. Should the hinges be painted, red, black, some sort of silver, or left natural, and just be clear coated?. Any pics would be fine |

Re: Hood hinges
It's really personal preference. What color will/is your inner fenders? I had my hinges coated in satin black to match my inner fenders.

Re: Hood hinges
My personal opinion...I would paint them to blend in/“disappear” to the eye because they aren’t the most flattering piece under the hood. Just my opinion though.

Re: Hood hinges
I had a set Gold Cadmium plated a few years ago.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1509227039 Then I went nuts and had a set Chromed. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/fi...0-w780-h585-no Stock ones were a Silver Cadmium looking finish. About 3/4 way down the page there's a close-up. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...+hinges&page=8 But I'd go with painted to match like above posts comments if I had it to do all over again.
