Loose Steering

Installed power steering from a '79 into my '65 using a Captain Fab bracket and everything works great, but my truck seems to easily wander and has what seems like loose steering. Since the steering gear was used, I'm now wondering if I need to get a rebuilt or new one to correct this condition. All other steering components are new since I did an upgrade with drop spindles and disc brakes. Tires are brand new and at the correct air pressure. Front sway bar is tight. Shocks are new. Do steering gears have any kind of adjustment that can be made?

Re: Loose Steering

Did you get it aligned? Correct specs on the toe in? Toe out will make it wander just like you said.

Wow. I bet that's it! I've been meaning to get that done before I destroyed my new tires. I've only driven the truck around the block a few times so far. Thanks.
