Lower hood valance replacement

Has anyone done this? Looking to replace my rusted out lower valance with one from The Truck Shop.
Wondering how difficult it is to cut it out and weld back in place.

Re: Lower hood valance replacement

I haven't done one yet, but starting with post Number 663 will probably help show how it comes apart and goes back together

Re: Lower hood valance replacement

I did this on my truck. Not too hard a task, and the results were good.

See details in post #72 to #74 in my build.

Re: Lower hood valance replacement

Get the inner panel when you do it. Its usually as bad as the outside panel.

Been there, done that. It isn't difficult at all, just time consuming.
