Reproduction Gauge Cluster Bezel
My truck is almost completely painted, and I am starting to assemble all my interior parts.
The original gauge cluster bezel has some cracks, and a slight bend to it so I will be replacing it. Has anyone purchased a new aftermarket bezel ? How was the fit & finish? I am leaning towards a chromed bezel, like this one vs. the painted one. I already purchased the chrome radio. Any thoughts, or advice? |

Re: Reproduction Gauge Cluster Bezel
I am not sure if it matters to you, but i went all after market gauges, custom bezel. The bezel is milled alluminium that i will powder coat black, gauges are all Autometer Phantoms (White Face). I have this basic same setup in my 1969 C10 and i really like it, but no doubt it is not cheap....

I like chrome too, but the California sun alway seem to find it and reflect back into my eyes when I'm driving.

I like the chrome. Is that padded dash in the picture something you can buy? Or is it a custom one off?

Re: Reproduction Gauge Cluster Bezel
I remember years back there was an aftermarket version in ABS plastic. I thought it might be nice...already black, lightweight, and no paint to scratch with the keys around the ignition. I went to look for it a bit back and couldn't find it now. Guess it wasn't so great after all.

Re: Reproduction Gauge Cluster Bezel
I have bought one of the aftermarket painted ones and it was fine.

Re: Reproduction Gauge Cluster Bezel
I have an aftermarket chrome unit, fits nicely using stock type gauges.

I seems like it would be easier than trying to do it after the bezel is installed. |

I tried that. Didnt work so well for me. OBTW the Trck Shop has a wrench for the ignition switch bezel if you want.
