71 Gmc core support to Chevy truck mount

I bought a wrecked truck that had a GMC core support with 72 Chevy front grille installed. Didn't really check it out before disassmbly. Can the GMC support be used in place of the Chevy one? This one was, just wondering about the bigger headlights going where the GMC headlights were and any modifications needed to accomplish a factory fit.

How is it working out with 4 headlamp pockets and a 2 headlamp grille. Not likely that it will work out correctly.

I just know the wrecked truck Had the GMC support but had the Chevy grille and headlights. i think the outer holes are in the same positions but the headlight adjusters are closer in on the smaller headlights.

Even if they line up, when everything is installed there'll be a big gap between the headlight bulb and the bulb surround.. You'll have to choose between having four headlights or two and install the proper core support/grill combination..
