Brake hoses

Does anyone still make brake hoses that fit? I have ordered from Napa, Summit and Rock Auto and all 3 sent me the same rear hose that does not fit without having to modify it. All three were packaged different (napa, Dorman & Raybestos) But all are a sunsong cheap chinese crap. The center mounting bolt will not fit thru the mounting hole as shown in the pics.

EDIT:
The original hose is 3/8" and all three new ones are 5/16". I have a message in to inline tube to get specs on theirs to see if any different than what I have here.

Re: Brake hoses

I got a message back from Inline tube that said they do not have the specs that I asked for. I would have to order them and return them if they were wrong. Really? I did have a member pm me with a lead on a nos Wagner hose that looked promising so I went ahead and ordered it. I am hoping it is correct and will post back with my findings and part numbers (I bought some wagner front hoses as well) if they are correct.

All the other hoses I have sourced have Sunsong printed on the hose and it has been my experience that they are bottom of the barrel chinese rubber that fail within a couple of years.

The wagner came in yesterday and is the same as what I had BUT is brass and usa made hose, so if all else fails locating the correct one I may try drilling out the hole to accept the bolt. I will try it on the chinese one 1st in case it goes south on me lol.

I am researching more today, I can't believe I am the only one having this issue

Re: Brake hoses

Sorry I meant to say that I had already checked Pauls.

Any Idea if the 86 K5 blazers had metric or standard brake lines? The hose i found for that, the picture of the mounting block looks correct and is squared. Fitment says it does not fit the 72 which leads me to believe it may take metric fittings?

here is a pic of the 86' hose

Re: Brake hoses

I have ordered another and should be here Saturday. Brass ends and all like the original if the picture is to be believed. They have quite a few in stock so if it turns out to be correct I will follow up with part number & link to buy

Re: Brake hoses

A 3/8" reamer will get them to fit.

Re: Brake hoses

well my last attempt to get the correct hose is a no go. Hose looks identical but the ports in the brass block are 1 size too small for the brake line to screw in. If the fitting at the block was the same as the fitting at the wheel cylinder it would have been an almost perfect match. Tired of searching so will end up drilling out the wagner hose I bought and install it.

On a different note I did find oem brass end style front hoses and the seller still has 4 left if anyone is interested.
