Alternative to '69 Camaro rear fuel tank?
I purchased a fuel tank kit from CPP for a '69 camaro, which I've seen folks install nicely with a fold-down license plate fill location.
The tank is on backorder for another month. Has anyone used a different tank with similar results? Nova, Barracuda, Mustang? If I need to wait, I need to wait...but I frankly don't care what the tank is from, so long as it is set up for EFI and can be made to fill through the rear license plate area. Thoughts? |

Their estimated ship date is 6/6 for an EFI tank. Must be everyone gets them from the same overseas connection.
Are there pics on here from your install by chance? I fully expect to figure it out myself when it arrives, and I’ve seen a few pics here and there….but feedback on how it went, or few pictures would be helpful and appreciated. Thank you! |

Not a great pic but a pic.
I did the 69 Camaro tank because I really didn't want to put a hole my bed. I used a 87 Monte Carlo license plate fold down mount. |

Used tanks inc universal truck EFI tank. Fits frame hole perfectly in a 66, and rides flush with the top of frame. Needs a fill hole in bed though
