Re: Steering wheel
I've restored 60-66 and 67-72 steering wheels myself. It's time consuming work (depending on condition of wheel to begin with) but they turned out nice. Ton's of write up's on this forum as well as on the internet on it. Recently, I purchased a new one for my 66 from Holley/Brothers. It came in gloss black but can be painted. It is high quality, looks and feels just like the original including the weight. Just providing options but when you consider the time and money spent to restore an original - buying a new one works for some folks.

Re: Steering wheel
Here is a pic of the new wheel I purchased. The interior of my 66 came painted in white so kept steering wheel black and painted the white scallops to add a little contrast.
