Short Throw Shifter

Anyone here running a short throw shifter? I am looking at mating a T56 Tremec 6-Speed to a built 350, but I would like to have a short shifter like in the Camaro.

In your truck? Your going to have to build a nice custom console or lower the shifter to get short throws. The lever is pretty long because you sit up so high in a truck.

Im not positive of the linkage, but id imagine you'd have to build it pretty custom to get a throw like in a camero.

Are you getting the T56 modified with shifter in original 4-speed shifter location?

http://www.standardtransmission.com/BW_T-56.html

If so they tell me it comes with all linkage installed you just the the handle and knob.

This modified version is better for trucks because the shifter will not be in your seat.

The gave me the price of $2600 which included shipping from Texas to Arizona. Working on getting one, but not going so smooth.

Cottman Transmission doesnt hold up to their end of a deal. May be seeing them in court soon.

Yeah, I plan on getting the modified T56 with the shifter in the original location. I may not be able to install a shifter like those in the Camaro's, but I want something with the shortest throw possible.
