Paint
What year did they stop doing single stage and go to a 2 stage? I have a 1986 Suburban in doeskin tan. Having some touch up work done this week to fix some surface rust. I believe it to be single stage and original paint. I tried a small area with compound, unfortunately the compound I used is tan and the truck is tan but I still think there was tan paint on the rag from applying the compound.

Re: Paint
Thank you sir. I couldn’t determine from my paint code as it’s only 4 letters. I then did more searching and found a thread on another forum and it seems trucks starts 2 stage in 88 and Suburbans in 90
