My new 1970 short bed, what color blue do I have?
Just picked up this killer little original paint short bed and I’ve done quite a bit of work to it in the last month.
Pics of when i first got it and now … Last edited by murguia; 11-27-2023 at 01:24 AM. |

Re: My new 1970 short bed
Cool truck! Gotta love the original paint. Great survivor.
It seems someone liked backing into things with the tailgate down, but at least there's a chance you could find an original paint tailgate with less dents of so desired. |

Nice truck, love those back bumpers. Good luck in your tailgate search.

What color is my truck if I end up trying to have the tailgate worked on and spotted in? 508?

Re: My new 1970 short bed
I love this truck. Working on a 70 Z62 K20 right now in same color combo. This is a 1970 only color (and referred in some paint books as a 70-1/2 color). You don't see it very much. Certainly not in this condition. More pics of the engine bay please. Thanks for sharing!
...love that factory stripe too!

Re: My new 1970 short bed
Thanks everyone. I’m loving it. I have the original bill of sale as well
Motor is a 307 with 3 speed. I put power brakes and plan on power steering. I’m also swapping it over to an automatic soon with a tilt column. |

Re: My new 1970 short bed
nice find! preserve it! I presume those are the original paint stripe down the sides. We don't see those much. BTW, how much of a drop did you perform?
