Kick Panel Vent
Hi all. Hope you can help.
What goes on the inside kick panel from the slotted vent? Is it just left empty or was there an internal vent cover, or was it connected to an air system of some sort. We’re just doing the interior on our Suburban and not sure what to do in this area. |

Re: Kick Panel Vent
the deluxe or fresh air heater bolts up to that and has a flap so you can adjust recirculation vs outside air
for the standard heater or no heater models there was a plate to cover the hole as well as the round hole where deluxe heater motor would penetrate firewall |

Re: Kick Panel Vent
Thanks mate .. looks like a plate for us then. The chances of finding an air unit are just about nine in England 😄👍🍻

Re: Kick Panel Vent
i can't find the photo that i took of that plate right now but here it is over on the right photobombing the vent handle.
that is where the deluxe fresh ait heater has it's fresh air intake normally or the tin goes over it. a couplr of vendord sell them but i would just take a piece of thin cardboard or stiff card stock and make a pattern and make one if i couldn't get one off a local donor. the cost of the panel plus shipping is too much for something you can make in 30 minutes.
