82 c10 Silverado diesel - Hydro Boost
I just tried to install the unit I purchased model Cardone # 52-7307. I got this number from Cardone website witch is the company all the part stores sell. It seem like housing is the same but the rod is too short on the replacement. I can reach the brake pedal. Looks about 3/4" too short. Any one else have this issue??? Do I have the wrong part number.

My dads got an 83 and I never noticed that issue. Which diesel do you have? the 5.7 or the 6.2

My solution was to cut it in half and rethread both ends. I used a double female hex nut with jam bolts. Works perfect. The other option was to add material to the brake pedal and redrill the hole.

I'd get a different brand and compare. If you go cutting and splicing you'll void any warranty given. Where is the measurement form the actual mounting point? Castings look different. Rod may be a different length to make up for it
