Talking New Guages

I'm excited about my most recent project. I found some neat white vinyl guage overlays on eBay and snapped some up. While I was applying them, I went ahead and chrome painted the cluster parts and installed some blue accent light bulbs. Took me a couple evenings work and boy it looks great in real life!

I hope the quality of those overlays have improved. I bought some last year and they sucked so I made my own. I was also selling them on Ebay. Took a couple of months off and just relisted them again.

I think they look awesome in the daytime

Here's a sample of the guages I'm selling now Russell. I removed the bowtie because of trademark law issues.

Your cluster looks great chevychic! Mine are exactly like stock just white, yours have some flair! :p The overlays I bought were excellent, except I had an issue with the fuel guage overlay being cut too small for my big guage, so I had to paint the rest of the face with white Krylon. Also, some of his cutouts for the AC controls were too large. All simple fixes, but it was only $20 anyway! Now I just need to get the oil and water guages working.

chevychic, I think I will be buying a set of your overlays just wish they had the. All that empty space just needs something other than that they look great.

The overlays are $20 + $3 s&h
Drop me an e-mail at heather@digitalcampground.com if you want to place an order.

They install really easy. You can either remove the needles or you can make a thin slice up from the bottom to the center of the overlay and lay it under the needle. You can lay the overlay down and lift it back up again to adjust. Just don't overdo it. They also are flexible so they wrap around the curve of the cup without wrinkling or bubbling. The outline of the overlay is large enough so you won't have a problem with them being too small and having to paint the cups of the gauges white.

Don't worry about having to remember all this...I send out instructions with each order.

That's why you'll notice there are no cutout spots on the gauges. This gives you more flexibility when installing. You're able to make your own cutouts for what works best for you.

They look really bright in your dash. I bet you're really enjoying being able to see your gauges at night finally!! lookin' good!
