A/C heater core box restoration question
An original heater core box inside the cab. I cleaned it but you can still see the white-ish marks from ppl hitting it with their feet. Can this be polished up to look new again? What products have you used? I really don't want to paint it.

Also when it's wet all the scratches appear to dissappear. . Just not when it's dry

Re: A/C heater core box restoration question
I used a very fine sandpaper to wet sand on a very faded box, took some time on the nooks and crannies then clear coated over the natural surface. Maybe not a hundred percent factory looking dude to the clear coating, it's very clean and looks good very close to original, i also think I used a satin clear

Re: A/C heater core box restoration question
Good idea. I was thinking clean/polish rather than anything abrasive. Mine looks like that too

Re: A/C heater core box restoration question
Sanded my box down to 400 grit and applied clear. All that is is needed. Results can be seen in my build thread.
