Car Alarms

Hey all!

Due to a recent rash of break-ins at school, I am seriously considering installing an alarm system on the truck.

I found this setup on Ebay, its got all the options I want, and the price seems right... Does anyone know anything about this setup, and if the quality is any good?

I like the Ungo Box stuff better.
Just make sure whatever you get.......you have access to replacment remotes as they go out first.
The tilt/shock sensor will give you fits on most systems so you might not want to install it with the box.

Do you have a website? I'm not out to buy a really professional system, just something that will make some noise when needed

What do you mean by install it with the box? I mean, I do want the truck to make noise if someone runs into it or something, but I don't want it to go off for no reason all the time...

I would just type in "Ungo Box" into the eBay search engine to get one. This is assuming you can/want to install it yourself.

What I am talking about with the shock sensor is:
Most systems come with a shock sensor that you plug into the main box. The one you linked has it.
These things give many false alarms. I have been installing alarms for 20 years in my cars and I find these to be less that reliable.
If you go with a "good" brand of alarm like Ungo= you get a better shock sensor for the most part.
If you "cheap-out" on your alarm..........you end up with many false alarms and you stop using it.
As for Ungo's being high..............I paid $30 for my last one off eBay.
It took me 4 days to install because I made some mods (to make it unique) and I really put it in right.

I used to install these at my shop a few years ago. I used em for about two years and never had any real troubles. I say it's a good buy for under $50

Hmm, conflicting reports

Cochino does have a shop, so yeah...

I'll have to keep looking around for some different setups yet, both locally and online...
