did you get that standard trans crossmember out yet?

I did mine about two months ago. It took about 45 crappy minutes.

I have done them the easy way and the hard way. The first time about 10 years ago when all I had to get it out was a drill, a grinder, and a hand punch and hammer it took forever and I was filthy when I got done. Absolute misery. Now 10 years later I took one out of my brother in law's new ride in about 25 minutes with a plasma cutter and an air chisel. You really don't have to cut the head all the way off, really cool how the heat makes the head kind of brittle and the chisel just knocks it right off. I would have never thought it would make it so easy. I guess it was my first go at an air chisel and was amazed what a helpful tool it can be.

no i did not get it out and i have decided not to take it out, i have decided that while i have the truck apart i am going to go ahead and put a manual in it like i want, thanks anyway
