oh no! we have a problem
i got a replacement temp. sensor for my new engine, but....
the holes in the head for the sensor are to big. the new sensor fits fine in the old 305 heads, but it wont fit in either of my new alum. heads. |

Mine was this way on my Edelbrock heads. You'll have to use an adapter. I can't remember exactly what size it is, I think 1/2", but it's just a brass fitting that fits the head and then the sensor screws into this.

Just make sure to get an automotive one. When I installed mine and added coolant the sender was leaking all around it. Difference is automotive one has a stop for the sensor to rest up against to bottom it out. A regular bushing like at Home Depot doesn't have this.
