tachometer suggestions?

Has anybody put an aftermarket tachometer on a cluster like my '89 suburban? It would be nice to have, but I'm not sure where to put it or where's a good place to get one.

I've got one that I still haven't installed. I'm going to strap mine to the column. It's an easy install and can easy be moved if needed. You can find many different options for tachs at http://SummitRacing.com . I bought mine there and it was only like $30.

I have a Factory Tach in mine, well sorta kinda but not really. The Cluster is out of an older truck, not sure the year, but it has the 5k Tach right next to the 100mph speedo. Prolly a late 70's cluster, I went this way cause it also has all real gauges, not dummy ones. like the Oil PSI, Voltage, and Temp.

try auto meter

DEAR SIR

I am fussy over what tac to use so it's taken me years to find the right one....

in the end i went with a auto meter- mid range 4 inch-- in chrome and lighted...

i mount it just below my stero cluster with a slight turn towards the driver,,,,

It shows up very good day or night and costs about 70$---less in black...

hope this helps
