BBC Header Question
I know that many have used the Big Block "shorty" headers designed for the early model chevelle, malibu, nova, etc... with good success.
Does anyone know if the "full length" versions of these are compatible as well? I'm looking for a full length version that doesn't hang down as far as the ones designed for our trucks. Thanks in advance.....

Jason... all the ones I've seen for cars don't hang as low as truck specific headers but they still hang below the frame.

Thanks. I appreciate the input. I guess I was wondering if anyone actually attempted to fit a set of full length headers from a defferent application on our truck....
Example. the other day i was looking at an 454 on an engine stand that had a set of hooker super comp full length headers for a corvette (see below). These headers hugged the engine block really tight. By looking at them, it seems that these would not hang down at all, most likely staying tucked within the frame rails. However, I have no idea if these would would interfere w/ other components on the truck. What do you think.....

I'm @ work right now but when I get home I'll look @ mine & see if it looks like they might work. But.... I can only assume about the drivers side since I can't reference anything vs. the engine like on the pass side (block, starter).

Would the guy let you 'borrow' them for a trial fitting? A couple rounds of masking tape would keep them from getting scratched.
