This truck, along with Yukon Jacks, were the inspiration behind my flatbed project. When I first saw your truck Joe, I said,"I wanna have a flatbed that looks as nice as that " Well, mine doesn't even compare to the quality of yours. I am still debating on swapping the wood out for a steel bed floor, but nothing as shiny as yours. I'm to friggin lazy to try and keep that clean Plus it's damn expensive Very nice job on this one. I hope you can get out and drive the piss out of it now. Maybe some pics of a dually burnout?? hehehe

Sweet truck. Just curious but how much does a sheet of that diamond plate cost? I was thinking of replacing the floor bed of my 3/4 ton with it. If it's not too expensive of course.

For me to have a piece made for my flatbed floor that is 6' 6" wide by 8 ' long, it was going to be $350. SO I went with wood that cost me $80 instead

Thanks dubie. That's not too bad. I just need to find a place close to home so that I won't get killed with shipping.

Great looking 1ton. Where did you get your mudflaps? Got a part #? Local dealers here have never seen any.

Jim's70GMC This was a 157"wb truck and we cut it down to about 136" As for wheels and tires, they are 16" Alcoa's and the tires are 215/75/16

da-burb, I can't get Chris to spend any money right now!! Not sure I would like the gas mileage of this thing compared to my Duramax!!!

Spencra, when I bought the tread plate it was $139.95 for a 4x8 sheet

oldiron, I will try to find the part # for the mud flaps. I think they are very old from the box they were in??

Folks, I have seen this truck in person and it is even tastier than the pics show!!! Nice work Joe, and glad to see that you finally got it all together!

Now when you going to get at that 72 blazer that has been the "next project" in your signature for that last few years??? (and no, it is not fair to ask how my 72 C30 is coming along...)

Only two things that could make this better.

Bigger Mirrors

and if it was 4x4

Chris
Now Chris, I didn't say WHEN it would be my next project!!! LOL!! It is tucked away real nice in the corner of the shop and it's not going anywhere!!!

Randy, Be carefull what you ask for, I might send some junk home with you!!! When are you going to be in Independence on Sunday??

I like the look of the small mirrors, although they wouldn't be the best choice If I was going to use it.

I like the small mirrors. They may not work well if you are towing something.
