I was told they only reason the guys at the shop dont like it is because the mixed stuff must be burned instead of recycled. I guess it costs more to dispose of the mixed stuff -Vs- recycling.

the duracool hasn't shown up yet.
but I'm wondering... when I recharge the system with the new gas(which I'm only supposed to use about 1/2 as much of), is it more important to watch the vent temp or the high or low-side pressure? if vent temp then how cold should I expect them to get? if high/low pressure then what pressures & where do I get a gauge set? thanks j Last edited by jones; 07-12-2002 at 08:59 PM. |

Should be instructions with it? I always watched pressures and took what came out of the vents regardless. To me, 5 degrees is 'nt worth blowing a fitting in traffic. Remember the outside temp. while charging has an effect on the pressure readings you should see. Gauges sold at many auto part stores.
P.S. My front end looked like that last month. Why do your coils look so tiny?

thanks, I'll look for instructions when the gas gets here. the guy from duracool said something about 35 psi on the low side, but my compressor says 145 psi Min for the low side (I think).
as for the coil springs - I don't know why they look so small, must be the light, or the elevation, or the humidity. ;-) |

imaindianoutlaw what's wrong with 134a? I have never had any problems with it. It doesn't do as good as r-12 if you put in a system designed for r-12, but in a system designed for 134a it will freeze your butt off.
