What did you get done this weekend? Merged posts version

I had a semi-productive and frustrating weekend (I'm calling it over now because I'm going to be a couch potato after church watching football.. lol)

I'll start with a problem. -- I started my truck and let it run for about half an hour while I was working on the bedside to top off the battery and just to encourage me by hearing it purr.. lol

Later, after finishing the bedside work I was doing... I wanted to take it out someplace more picturesque than my curb and get a picture of it. Unhappy me.... cranks and cranks and does not fire. (?!?)

It has a stock hei (coil in the cap) distributer. Is this, or some component therein, likely my culprit? I can't think of anything else that would just up and fail with no prior symptoms. It is definatly getting gas and I would think that any mechanical brekage would have been obvious during the long warm up run earlier in the day.

Anyway... here are the before nad afters on the bedside.. the truck is still a Billy-Bob special .. but improvements are being made.
