Re: good question
My truck was my wifes daily driver for about a year or two. Whenever I get it out now, I don't have to work hard to take her for a ride. She would rather see it painted too and we have come to an arrangement that might make that possible next year. My oldest girl might even like it then. She is like Bobbyk's wife, breaksdown when she's riding. I tell her its a coincidence, but she says my truck just doesn't like her.

Re: good question
My wife just sees my truck as competition for her "decorating" budget. I really don't think its any competition at all.

Re: good question
I remember the night I met my wife.
I was leaving the bar about 2am, seen this hot chick on the way out, ran a few cornball lines, told her to meet be by the BIG white truck so I could write down her ph# down. I swear this part is the truth... She pulls up and says "Nice truck, Is that 6 and 3?" HOLY SH@*!!! I yell!!!! Will you marry me?!!! Well it's been 7 years, we're married with 2 kids. Those of you 2wd guys that don't get it. 6 and 3 means ---- 6"suspension, 3" body lift. |

Hi All,
I've been lurking for quite some time and figure I might as well start in on the board at some time. My wife likes the truck most of the time... |

I found this pic today. We drove the C10 to my wifes graduation last May (2006) and left straight from there for Maggie Valley.

Re: good question
My wife loves to ride in my truck, but when I mention driving it she flips out. She would rather walk to the store than try to drive three on the tree lol.

Re: good question
My wife drove my old GMC for about a month after we sold her Mustang. This thing had no A/C no PS and no PB. Not mention that it was a 3sp on the column that you had to double clutch going from second to third to keep it from grinding. I tried to get her to drive my K10 since it had A/C but she wouldn't do it! (it was July/August)

Re: good question
My wife litterly pushes me out to the shop. She's into old vehicles not the way I am but she knows that it is my passion and she wants to see me happy.
She's in charge of all the wood staining, sanding etc. for the box floor of the 70'. She also helps out by keeping the shop floor clean by mopping and swifting it on a regular basis so that it's kept clean for me to work on and dirt is kept out of the house, [Linda is a neat freak.] Having said that my wife also knows when I want to be left alone in my shop. She takes advantage of these opertunities to do a little house cleaning, go shopping or what ever. She did the wood on our 50' Chev so this is not the first time for her to do a wood floor project. Thankyou Lord for my wife, the attached pictures are of the 50' and the 70' bed wood that Linda did for our trucks. esll. Linda likes to ride in the trucks but it's no big deal to her ....

Re: good question
The first four years my wife and I were dating/married I was driving a 71c10. manual steering, manual brakes rusted out badly(although it was hidden under the bondo ) she used to drive quite abit. She only complained when she was in a parking lot trying to park it. She has never given me a hard time about building stuff, especially old stuff. the only thing she has said when I have my truck done she wants to start a 71-72 chevelle or camino. hmmmm I think we can do that!
but back on topic no pics,,,she hates cameras Frank

Re: good question
My wife hates my truck, she says that we are just throwing away money. One day she bought a couch and we went in my truck to picl it up, now granted the truck was a real eyesoar at the time, but It was lowered and had decent rims on it. As we were driving, we get a thumbs up, then another and another. Finally she realized that those other people saw what I saw in my truck. A freaking cool truck.. Now she smearks whenever I buy something for it.

Re: good question
My wife's cool with it. She was never a car person, but likes all that stuff now. When she drives the truck she tends to spin em off a red light, it's a good time.

My wife drove mine for the first time last night. First time she's driven a V8 in her life. She says she doesn't get it, but it makes me happy, so that's cool. Well, she's at a stop light and a guy on the sidewalk is looking over the truck (not her -- she swears). So she punches it a bit on take-off. Came back with a big smile on her face. Kinda like this one after riding in my buddy's little project car:

Re: good question
As soon as mine is done I have to let my wife drive it. That was part of the deal.
She paid for customs and shipping here in Germany. I´m not scared about letting her drive it, she drives better that me.

My wife don't like to drive or ride the 72chevy truck. She hates the dual 40s flowmaster exhaust and there hasn't been a radio in the truck since the year 2000.
