where was your truck originally sold?
So, who knows where there trucks were originally sold... and is that dealer still there?
I just discovered that my one ton was originally sold at; Colony Chevrolet Co 1644 Lancaster Ave Paoli PA 19301 And my first longhorn, was sold at; Yingling Chevrolet Company inc 300 South Topeka Ave Wichita Kansas 67202 A web search shows nothing on Colony Chevrolet, and a member on here verified Yingling being closed down years ago. So, any one else have this info? |

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Are you sure?I thought these trucks were made in Heaven .
I`ll look and see what I can find.I know my first was from Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring,MD.which was a brand new dealership at that time.It was a`72 traded-in in`73,which is when I saw it.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Don't remember the dealerships name, but my truck had the original step bumper on it that had the dealer name on the DS and said BROWNSFIELD, TEXAS on the PS. Probably should have kept the bumper, but it was really fugly.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
I`d love to get my hands on a dealer-stamped bumper.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
I'll have to verify when I get home, but I think my bumper says Stroud Chevrolet / Henderson, TN. May be way off, though. Bought it in Jackson, TN, so...

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
My Longhorn was sold by Weiler Chevrolet in Oregon City, OR on 9/9/68 and they are still in business. I am going to take it back there once it is restored and ask if my warranty is still good...LOL!

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Mine is from Astoria, OR. it stayed there until last year, when I brought it to her new home in Portland, OR.
The dealership is still there. I have the original Bill of Sale, Owner's Manual, Original finance company paperwork, and the original down payment money order, plus a few other things that came with. |

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Mine is from ACE Chevrolet. But don't know where they are located. I think my dad was the second owner of this pickup. I should ask him if he knows for sure.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Mine was first sold in Auburn Maine, about 30 miles from here. It's likely that the truck was in New Hampshire a few times but I doubt very much if it's even been in Mass.
That's going to change! I see Hershey, Carlisle, and a couple other places on the horizon!

My 70 was originally sold not too far from here in Utica, MS at a place called Hubbard Chevrolet, which I don't see listed any more.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Well, my '72 Blazer was sold from the following:
Burr Motor Company 30 West Main, Box G Salina, UT 84654 My '68 one ton was originally sold out of a dealership in Ft. Worth, Texas. Not sure which one. I've got the Protecto-plate, etc., but nothing that shows the dealerships name.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
all my trucks were built at the same plant in califronia. Don't know where any of them were sold at though. How do you find out? Hey Fatback, there isn't a dealership in Moorpark anymore, but I'm pretty sure your truck was sold from William Morris Chevrolet. They are located in simi valley now.

My truck was originally sold at Burt Chevrolet in Denver. It still has the old faded dealer sticker on the tailgate.
