you will need shorter shocks. you could use the stock shackles (i think). most of the work will be in correcting steering geometry.

In doing the spring flip on the front suspension, you will somehow have to address the fact that the axle has a mounting surface ony on the top, where the springs are in the stock location. The bottom is only skinny I beam. Maybe some good welding will help. If anyone has done this, I'd like to know how, because nobody makes a 3/4 ton drop axle. bummer. Should I just find a 1/2 ton before I spend any money in the 3/4 ton? I just got it and have spent (traded) a 77 chevy and 300 dollars on it. someone out there will trade me for a first series 1/2 ton!

you could just use 1/2 ton axles under your truck...then you can bolt on discs too.
