Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007...... Saturday May 19th
Lagoon Valley Regional Park, Vacaville California

The 6th anual truck meet, potluck barbeque bash is happening this year again. Come on out & show off your ride, meet some folks - put a face to the username! Exchange numbers, meet the wives, girlfriends & kids - network parts resources - make connections!

I'll bring the grill & enough mesquite charcoal to barbeque Texas - you bring your own meat (or veggies) everybody brings a side to share.

It's open to the public, so hand a flyer to a buddy you know who has a truck like yours or print out a stack & leave 'em at the parts counter!

For Details & Flyers or if you have any questions, e-mail me: hilandr451@earthlink.net

I think I can make this. I have a '68, so does that mean I have to park across the street?

I believe that one year we had a fella show up in a '68 GMC pretending to be a chevy. We stuck him right in there with the other trucks. Seon shows up every year in a '58 wagon. This year he told me he's bringing his '61 wagon.

The only thing we won't allow in our line-up is a Ford - you'll have to leave that across the street.

Re: Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007

You're not the only one. I bought something that I hope just needs a distributor. I bought a HEI on eBay two weeks ago from a guy in Michigan, still don't have it. I guess he's walking it over to me.

Here's what one friend of mine brought to the party:

I don't think that '62 is running yet! Every year he brings another part.

Who knows what he'll bring this year!

Re: Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007

I could use a pair of doors and a hood for a '64. Maybe someone at this meet can help...

Re: Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007

Yup! that is a very strong possibility!!! I know someone with a clean hood who will definately be at the meet! I know somebody else who has a pair of doors and a passenger side fender who'll be hosting this event. hee hee!

Re: Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007

I think you need to bring the '79 and load 'er up. the parts you sell just might cover the gas for the trip!

Re: Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007

Boo - this 6 cylinder isn't wanting to go. Replaced the distributor and points this weekend with HEI, but no luck getting it running.

I don't think it's looking good for me to make this meet. I'm now in need of some more cash and a motor that runs.

Yup - shore is. except I used 2 kits for the detailed spare rims - the wheels that came with the kit were too pretty. I left the decal off the door too....I felt it would take away from the rust.

Re: Stepside's Ranger - I'm bringing my 20lb sledge - $5 will get you 3 swings!!! Kids under 12 free! All proceeds will go to the "Get Johnny's '65 on the road" fund.

Re: Rust NEVER Sleeps 2007

The 6 cylinder motor has been sold along with the bench seat and gas tank out of my truck. Needless to say, it's no where close to running.

It's the wife's Audi or my Ford F150....
