Damn! I hate looking at this thread cause it’s got me jonesen for getting my 5.3l swap finished. But now I want a 6.0l to rid myself of the regret factor. Congrats on a finished swap. You gotta get that camera on that engine and do another sound check soon!

PCMCOBRA, Was the 6.0 a single line fuel rail or a duel line?
Thanks in advance. Last edited by Cherub; 10-08-2008 at 05:04 PM. |

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!
pcmcobra,... How much money do you think you spent on this swap? I'm trying to justify doing one of these someday. Any chance you could give us a break down on all the prices?

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!
Rob, yes the intake you gave me is on it now. Had to get some brass inserts for throttle cable bracket. No problem. thanks!
Cherub, I had a van intake, same as a truck, it just did not have mounting provisions for a cover-reason why I went to truck intake. Ogre, if rain holds off this weekend, I'll be running around, give me a call!

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!
pcm quick question. What motor mounts did you use? cause my stockers with polyurathane inserts are not lineing up. Im going to just try stock ones and see if that fixes the problem.

Re: Finally!!! 6.0 POWAH!!!!
what fuel pump is everybody using? i've got an ly6 6.0 and i've seen people talk about using an '87 tank because it has baffels and an ac delco ep 241 pump but i cant find any infor mation on this pum in regards to its pressure capabilities... can somebody point me towards a good pump that would allow me to use a stock tank?
