They're on to us!
Well, we all know our trucks are very popular.... and becoming more so by the minute. Well, it seems the ladies have taken notice too! I know there are a few ladies on here with trucks, but in the last few weeks I've seen two very nice rides driven by ladies around my area. One was a baby-bluish longbed with big wheels (don't remember the year)(was looking at the girl too much LOL) and the other was a white 67 with black wheels. Hopefully we will be graced by their presence here.......

Re: They're on to us!
Some have been on to us for a while.... My wife "acquired" my 69 chevy after I put pb and ps in it 17 years ago. She liked to drive it around until the engine went bad on me.
Now that I'm retired and have the time to try to restore it, she's eyeballing it again. |

Re: They're on to us!
No worries! I care more about my truck(s) than that. She's wrecked every car she's ever owned.

Re: They're on to us!
Greenville is a friggin' yuppie town. It's dominated by new vehicles. I'm lucky if I see one or two 67-72's a week (other than mine.) Can't say I can recall seeing a chick drive one. Jena's driven my truck with me in it a couple times, but she's scared of it.

Re: They're on to us!
My wife loves driving my truck now. She thought it was fun before the resto, but the new cam and exhaust make it so much more responsive than it used to be. The throttle linkage is alot smoother and easier also. The first she got to drive it with the new setup, she put it in gear, and mashed the throttle too far not knowing how sensitive it was. Our oldest son was standing in front of the seat, then got thrown back and his feet went flying up over his head, then he rolled back down and stod up again laughing. In typical 4yr old fashion, he laughingly said "Do it again!" I said, "No, don't do it again." My wife looked at me with an embarrassed and shocked look and said it never did that before.
She's always liked my truck, but always liked the fleetsides better.

Re: They're on to us!
My wife loves my 68, but won't drive it.....says it's to "qwerky". She's never driven a carbed vehicle and one with the power and torque of a 454. I'd be afraid to let her drive it as is, let alone after I do a rebuild on it!

Re: They're on to us!
My wife loves my '69 C/10, but she won't go anyhere near any of my 1 tons or my C-50 wrecker since I coerced her into driving the big wrecker a few years ago. The "Holly bush incident" pictured below (I almost put the boom through the living room window!) did little to help her fears of the ol beast. Now she's afraid of any thing with more than 4 wheels!

Well theres a guy in my town with a dark green short step GMC. Then theres a nice blue one that is stock height and itsa chevy. Theres even a light/dark two tone green one thats a 2500 4 wheeldrive jacked up with mudtires. There was one that caught my eye in the wallyworld parking lot, it was a medium blue with the metal pipes in the bed with lights on it not sure what they call it but the truck was a chevy.
