Re: Most "Desirable" Year and Model Truck

My first intro to this era of trucks was my Jr. year in high school when my dad bought me my first vehicle. (72 C10 step) Now 17 years later I just bought a 68 C10 step. I have alot of plans for it and unlike the 72 this time I have the money.

Sorry guys, '67 short-step. Fleetsides are cool, but not like the stepsides!

Re: Most "Desirable" Year and Model Truck

yea you see a ton of 71-72 not as much 69-70 because the grills are so expensive to replace so alot of people put a 71-72 grill in a 69-70 truck

Re: Most "Desirable" Year and Model Truck

When I went looking it was for a 69 but any of the six years 67 - 72 are as good as a truck gets. No company has ever made a nicer looking truck. If GM wants to sell some trucks they should revive this body as Ford did with the Mustang.

Anybody around here an artist? I would love to see a modern take on our trucks -but please keep the 2 wheel drive lower -todays trucks all look like 4x4's Nothing against 4x4's but I just like a normal ride height like my 70 is.

That would be a 69 with a 67, 68, 69, 70, 71 or 72 front on it. Step or fleet.

Re: Most "Desirable" Year and Model Truck

My two favorites are the 72 Long fleetside with the two tone package like mine ( but not necessarily pink and white ) and if I had another it'd be a Black 72 Short Fleet big block with a 68 front clip.

haha, longhorn I was wondering the same thing... but I think a '68 short fleet black slammed to the ground would be sic. Or a '71 K10 SWB, that's my current project.

Re: Most "Desirable" Year and Model Truck

When I answered I took this to be asking what is the most desireable factory offering across the board, not what each of our favorite was.I always liked`67 small windows inspite of what my first answer was. But,if a guy wants a`67 upgraded with 71/72 features.it takes us back to my original answer.Theres alot of big block/disc brake`67s out there.
I like them all and could never narrow it down to just a favorite. How about a`69 CST/10 big block Panel w/air,posi,Hugger Orange w/Parchment interior?Slap on some TorqueThrusts...done.

I prefer the 67 small windows. I have a stepside, but would love to find a 67 LWB SW to go with my drivetrain...that pic above with the two matching 67's is one of the ones that inspired my plans.
