Re: WTB Below-Eye-Line mirror for 69-70

I bought these at a swap meet thinking they were the same as mine but when I got back to where my truck was I saw that the "elbow" was longer on my truck. These would probably still work and I may still use them. I think they will clean up some and I may try to get the "elbows" chromed. The stainless part looks great. I may be able to polish the glass up some too.

Re: WTB Below-Eye-Line mirror for 69-70

Do the mirrors you are looking for have a horizontal upper mounting bar and the lower with two verticle legs? If this is what you are after, I have a near perfect set that were in my loft. I am having trouble with my dig. camera so I can't load pics now. If you are interested I will look for a new way to get you some pics.

The mirrors on my truck above are what I am looking for. The 69-70 mirrors were the same style but the 71-72 were a little differrent. I am looking for the 69-70 type mirrors.
Thanks

Re: WTB Below-Eye-Line mirror for 69-70

These came off of a '70 C20. The top arm is a triangle with the base mounting on the door. Do the ones on your truck a single mounting bolt at the top? The bottom mounts are the same on the ones that I have. I will try and get a new camera so I can send you the pics.

Im not sure if those would work if they looked like that, they look backwards, and the mounting on the back of the mirror looks wrong...but without seeing your actual mirrors its hard to tell

rlm316...those do not look like factory GM Mirrors. I would guess if you have factory mirrors stored...they will not look like the pic that you posted. JMHO. If you get a chance email me pics. You can pm me and I will provide my email address. Thanks

These are the mirrors that came off of a '70 C20 camper special. I think these are factory. Maybe just for the camper special. Nice SS mirror, not very much vibration while moving. Let me know what you think.

No problem...I forgot there was a differrence between the 69-70 and 71-72model years. My son (70cstjr) pointed out what I failed to see. Thanks for your kind gesture. Thats what makes this sight so special. People looking out fo each other.
