Re: Burnouts,Smoke 'em if you Got 'em!

I did a few when I had the 230 I6 in it with the dual 1bbl carbs and headers, but didn't tape any. My son broke the output shaft on the trans and we switched trans after that, but I'm pretty certain he was doing the same, especially since it was very near his ex girlfriends at the time.!!

Sadly, right now, the bed is off and it is not drivable, but I look forward to having fun laying a little rubber, and promise one when I get it back together!!
It won't be as impressive as most of these, but will be fun nonetheless.

I bought it in 2000 from the second owner with 76,000 miles on the clock ! Has typical midwest cab corner and rocker rot but looks pretty cool with it's faded origional paint I think ! I still have the orig. motor on my stand a large journal 327 . Bob

The problem with America is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

The 327 is on the engine stand it has a flat top 355 in it now it ran a 10 flat spinning the tires the whole 1/8 mile as the pics show . I had fun I would say if it hooked it should run in the 8's in the 1/8 I have never had it on the 1/4. I really built it to drive on the street but it's pretty radical and loves the strip so I may have to put slicks on it and make some more passes with it . The motor dyno's @ 480 hp and 500 lb ft of torque it's just a nice mild street truck Bob

This one is still my favorite. I caught some heat for posting it here before, but I like it. I am not condoning doing this on a public street, but I guess no one got hurt. Not mine.

Re: Burnouts,Smoke 'em if you Got 'em!

You asked for em!!!

Heres our '55 when we brought it home. Has a really out-of-tune 283 and a truck 4 speed. Check the open headers spitting flames

This is my friends dads' Z06

Listen closely to the angry guy at the end.

And my other friends' Z06 (I know alot of corvette lovers)
And yes, he did hit the gravel

And the furd truck we borrowed. Notice the need for water to make it spin lol. And it had a 460 in it! Sorry I had to edit out all the sound, there was too much profanity.

Re: Burnouts,Smoke 'em if you Got 'em!

I have always been of the opinion holding the brakes cheating. I have driven many pathetically slow 2.7L V6 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 rental cars that will do what you all call a burnout if you turn off the traction control and hold the brakes while you lay down the throttle. You can get a front digger GM rental car like an Impala to do with same if you hold the emergency brake. I mean com’on

Whatever happened to poking it in the neck at a dead stop without holding the brakes to see how far it will burn? Now, that is a burn out.
