Re: Winter Plans for Your Ride?
I've been shimming and have the doors dang close on the Jimmy, then I can install my new carpet. To make a long story short I'm working toward it being drivable next spring.
Later---DAC

Re: Winter Plans for Your Ride?
Working on completing the pass. side by Xmas. I've done all the rust repair for the rocker, floor, kickpanel etc. Bought two truck doors that I'm cutting down and refurbing. Still need to strip paint from the front fender and prime. Then on to the rear quarter to replace the tail light section that's been dented and bondoed by the PO.

Re: Winter Plans for Your Ride?
Well, so far my winter plans are the same as my summer plans, get it moving. I also plan on making the brackets for the seats, cleaning out the gas tank, installing my lift kit, and driving the hell out of it. First things first, gotta install the transmission. Mario

Re: Winter Plans for Your Ride?
my plan is to cut out rot and PO's attempt at fixing rot..at least he didnt patch over rot.... I hate to say it, but i am strongly considering using my decent (but smashed in on the rt rear corner area ) 67 cab as a parts donor.... use the door hinge pillars, kicks and floor lowers.... im not expert but I have to learn somewhere..thank God im an engineer...LOL I hope to be driving it in 09 before the snow flies again.... repair and hang the doors and earl scheib it....

My blazer better be done by this spring. Paint, inside and out and new vinyl on the stock buckets. I'm considering a lift but I am undecided.

Re: Winter Plans for Your Ride?
Just waiting on a gas tank sending unit so I can put the fuel system back together, prime it, fire it up, then try to find a miss it has, I think it is vac related. Hopefully a new 4/6 drop. Then going to Tenn in July

Re: Winter Plans for Your Ride?
I'd like to get some sheet metal repairs done this winter so I can take the top off of it finally next summer. My brother may be hooking me up with a complete F-body 350TPI so it might find one of those under the hood as well.

Re: Winter Plans for Your Ride?
Yes, it was a stock roll bar. When I bought the rig I thought it was aftermarket so I got rid of it, but I shouldn't have. So now it has a regular top on it with a back seat.
