How many inches (bag question)
How many inches from stock would you expect to get fro this setup up front?
DROP SPINDLES, BAGS, CPP LOWER A-ARMS FOR BAGS, Right now i have drop spindles, 3" springs and stock a-arms all around, which is giving me about 5 1/2" of drop right now. how much more lower will it be putting the bags and lower a-arms on? thanks throw me some #s will the crossmember sit on the ground?

Re: How many inches (bag question)
Hey Nick. That's the front set up I have and when completely deflated, the crossmember rests on the ground. I had to install taller bump stops in case the air system failed I could still drive the truck.

Re: How many inches (bag question)
Depends on your tire diameter.....my burb has 29" tires and it sits on the fenders in the front aired out and is about 1" lower than my static truck with your same set-up. Like you said, it takes $$$ and time to do the rest.

Re: How many inches (bag question)
My tires up front are about 26" tall and if they were any taller the inner fender would rest on top of the tire with the bags fully deflated.
I'll try and take some photos this weekend (I have to put the front suspension back together).

Re: How many inches (bag question)
My static drop uses a 26" tire also. It has a couple inches clearance from the ground and a couple inches clearance in the wheelwell. Like vin63 said, that would put it on the ground with bags.

Anyway, here are a couple of photos of my front suspension loosely assembled. The crossmember would rest on the ground if not for the wood block - I just don't have a jack with a low enough profile to slide under the truck if it is resting on the ground. This should give you an idea.

Re: How many inches (bag question)
If you want true ground clearance with maximum drop I would look at the porterbuilt crossmember!http://www.porterbuiltstreetrods.com/products.php

...and then this... ...then we're going to do what Chris did...wait for it ...I just don't think a drop crossmember will be necessary.

Re: How many inches (bag question)
i used some chassis tech arms i got on this forum for a good price. when the bags are deflated the inner fenders sit on the tires, and the front tube on the lower a-arm sits on the ground. i think the crossmember would sit on the ground if the tire would be able to go up higher. the benfit of these arms is that you run a full bag at ride height.

Re: How many inches (bag question)
On the 'spindle debate' thread a guy posted saying his truck set the X-member on the ground with a 26" tire. You must be a little bigger; my 20's hold the front off the ground.
Post up a pic, I'd like to see.

Re: How many inches (bag question)
will do,
but i think its the design of the lower a arm that is the reason. look at the way vin63's CCP arms are made compared to mine.
