I am not a big fan of Watt's links as I like things uncluttered. That is the cleanest application I have seen.

The 5.3 can be a stout motor. A few extra goodies, maybe even a maggie, and you've got yourself a very respectable motor.

Not questioning the motor itself, but the choice in a high end project. Money doe not seem to be an issue

Re: Bent Custom and Performance Back-half

"Impression" that won the Riddler Award back in 2005 had a very tame 340hp LS1. Many "high end" builds use very common and lower hp motors for a variety of reasons. Big cams and blower whine aren't everyone's thing. Some guys want a reliable car/truck that they can drive to shows and have a little fun with, but not have to hassle with a lengthy and expensive motor build that at the same time is completely unnecessary.

Now, they haven't touched on anything being done to this motor, but I'm more than willing to bet that it isn't just some crate motor. It will have some bolt on goodies at the very least.

Personally, I love factory/crate motors. Some of the best and most reliable out there, that's why I chose one for my truck. 400+ factory rated engineered horsepower and matching torque in a smog legal, completely reliable, package. You really can't ask for much better for the money.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Well some times the customers get a little weird in areas. Like we all know most of these projects aren't starting out the way they were supposed too. I almost renamed the shop to Snowball Fabrications cause that's what they turn into. Start small at the top of hill and end up huge at the bottom.

Now that is COOL! Can't wait to see more...

On another note, after doing some brake lines on my project, I have a MUCH greater appreciation for the tube/pluming work that you do!

Re: Bent Custom and Performance Back-half

Wow! You cantilevered your cantilever! What is the movement multiplier? And did I read the your trailing arms are built from flat stock?

Just wow!

We figured it out in solid works. Forgot what the exact multiplier was. The trailing arms are highly modified stock peaces.
