took some new pics

Did it with my '283' V-8: Just had to re-drill mount holes for existing cross member and lengthen the front drive shaft about 1.2 inches. No biggie.

yea some tire shops can do it for you. i'll dig up some tech threads from the hamb it's pretty easy to do.

Yeap...thats how it works....There is a continuous band of 'white' under the black.

My elderly mother used to make them.....only the right side of her car would have them though....

BTW....Glendale...SWEET A$$ truck man....Welcome aboard from San Jose

I know all white letter tires have the wide white strip. But I wonder if blackwall tires have the same white underneath? I mean, do they make ALL tires with white underneath? Or just whitewalls/white letters?

Hey Terd,

Only white letter tires (and white wall of course) have the white rubber. It is expensive so it is only used for the white letters.
