What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this
Well here it is
http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/1336694784.html And im going to try trading my truck with the front smashed for it straight across. And I think my dad might go for it because he had a 79 z28 back in the day lol. I dont know much about the car right now I was just thinking about it and thought i would get some opinions. Im just kind of getting tired of messing with the same thing all the time. I think if it wouldnt get hit so much i prob wouldnt be tired of it, its just kinda of getting annoying with not getting much progress done i just keep having to fix the same stuff over and over again. well heres my truck so you can get a little bit better of an idea if i should or not. My opinion is DON'T DO IT!!!! Every one has a belly button Car. Your truck is not what you see every day. I guaranty that you will have more comments on your truck than you will every get out of that car. I traded my 80 model Z28 to get my truck. Never have I regretted it.

I think you're just bummed out about your truck getting hit again. What would it take to get it to be reliable for you?

If your truck needs a motor, I doubt either of those guys will trade straight across. I'd fix the truck.

Oh i see. It could be nothing really. I've never heard a motor that doesnt have some sort of tick. Is it like a miss fire? or what?

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this
I traded a slick 83 Shortbed that I invested alot of time and hard work into for an 85 Camaro with a V6(of all things) for the same reasons as you listed, mainly because I got tired of the truck and thought I wanted a Camaro. Boy did I regret that! I asked the guy a week later if he'd trade back with 500 cash to him and he said absolutely not! I love this truck.

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this
It's a nice car. But, the grass is greener over the septic tank. Trucks are cool. Right now, it's kind of an underground thing. Kind of like rat rods were just a few years ago. They were cheap to build and cheap to buy (if you could find them). Now, everybody calls a piece of s4it a rat rod so they can say they have one. And the real ones are super expensive. Hold onto that truck and you won't be sorry. Muscle cars are way overpriced right now beacuse of shows like overhaulin and chop cut rebuild (I record them, by the way and watch them over and over). Patience, grasshopper, patience.

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this
If you are looking to get rid of your truck this is not really the place to post asking for an un-biased opinion.
I say KEEP THE TRUCK OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!

When (notice I said when, not if ) your sister backs into the car it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to fix
If you're not happy, you're not happy. Do what makes you happy.

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this
The truck doesn't look like that hard of a fix. pull the grill out and you can most likely get the hood open.
Those mullet Camaros always scare me as most of them have been beat to death in their lifetime and that one looks like it might need more work than your truck. A guy trying to sell a car for 4K and he hasn't at least cleaned up the engine compartment to make it look good doesn't show me much. With that car set up like a race car under the hood and it has probably been raced plenty I'd say you would be in for more work and expense than if you just went ahead and did everything to the truck. If the local girls won't ride in the truck find different girls. |

Re: What do you guys think about me trading my truck for this
In my opinion, anything that came out of the late 70's is straight up garbage. Stickers and emblems never did anything for true performance. The add looks like he was reading out of a summit catalog for the engine upgrades.Unless this guy could produce the build sheet on what he says he put into it, stay a way from this one and keep the truck. There's always room for improvement on your truck, and you already know what you have, mechanically. Cnut

Man up and fix the truck. The other guys aren't gonna trade if you can't even open the dang hood.
