Re: Was there a COE version of the 67-72's?
These are your cabovers from 67-72 era. The last cabover to share any similarity in sheet metal to light trucks was Advance Designs. Low Cab Forward design took the place of COE in Task Master body style. This continued through the 60-66 body till the '67 when the medium duty conventional cab had the front just slightly snubbed with engine tucked deep into firewall and the COEs took over for any shorter requirements.
These photochops could never work. They make cool pictures but it doesn't take much looking to see they could never be functioning machines as they appear in pictures.

Re: Was there a COE version of the 67-72's?
All I need to look at is the vehicle and can tell it's not real. Where would the engine go? Where would you sit? Where do your legs go? Hpw could that door hang?
Maybe it is possible with Corvair power

Re: Was there a COE version of the 67-72's?
Yeah,it's a retro FC concept. Really cool. Speaking of concepts, how about a GM one?

Special K. Where do you come up with all these rare photos? That last one that pivots in the middle is so cool!

Re: Was there a COE version of the 67-72's?
I don't know, I just search and things pop up. I searched Corvair truck hoping to find at least one customized into 4wd or mid-engine and found that. Never knew about it till now with all my interest over all the years in GM Trucks, especially off road stuff. GM sure did the research and development off an awful lot of advanced concepts

Re: Was there a COE version of the 67-72's?
This is what I think it would look like when done. About what Chevy did in 1955.

Re: Was there a COE version of the 67-72's?
GMC evidently gave some thought to upgrading the medium duty 'Steel Tilt' at some point, but ended up continuing the 1960 based styling until they were dropped in 1980:
