PLEASE don't be one of THOSE guys!

It's a great truck and looks awsome. But I absalutley HATE the guys that drive these diesels that smoke everyone out on the road. We have one that everytime he takes off or gets tied up in traffic he floors it and everyone has to stop because you can't see. When he finally broke down IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD I stopped and laughed at him. It's just unsafe for other divers.

Anyways, don't mean to soapbox here but your truck is just too nice to have people think bad of it.

I have twisted a few screws and messed with the timing. it does smoke but it will smoke more once I get my 100 horse injectors and thinking of doing a fuel pin.

The truck looks awesome, very nicely done! Can you get some more pictures of the bumpers? They look like they turned out really nice.

Re: Just thought I would show my crew cab build

You can have these smoke controllably................... It is all up to the driver. I like smoke as much as the next guy, but there is a time and place for it. I try to keep my DD non smoky as I can. On these higher hP mechanical engines it takes some tuning.

Re: Just thought I would show my crew cab build

The P-pump 12v's are the easiest to get cheap reliable power from. They are in 94-98 dodges. For an automatic, try to find a 94 or 95. They are a non electrictronic overdrive with lock up. You will need to do some upgrades to it to make it bullet proof, but they are great transmissions. You can go with the 1991.5-93 dodges as well. They are an intercooled VE or rotary injection pump and are very reliable. You can make respectable HP with these too. The autos in these are basically a heavy duty 727 with an overdrive in them.

How well does the hydravac work with the diesels low vacuum?

Thought that was the main reason for the hydraboost in the first place?

Just thought I would show my crew cab build

I've just recently jumped back into building my 87' Crew Cab short bed and have been reading back through old posts.

You have done a great job on your build! I'm hoping to have mine on the road before the end of this year...

Your build has given me a lot of ideas... Thanks for the post, and stay tuned!

I used the factory bbc radiator the inter cooler is from an 05 it doesnt fit between the framerails but if you dont have at least a 2" body lift it wont fit.
