Re: 85 Chevy SWB

So I made another big purchase today, I got a super solid 73 truck that I will use to convert the front end. Its a long bed C10 with a utilty bed on it. The cab only has some surface rust on the underside and no major body damage. The fenders and doors are in bad shape but the rest of the front end is good to go. I'm going to swap the whole cab over to my truck and probably use my doors for now. I also scored a free 4.8 that I will use for my son's future squarebody.

Re: 85 Chevy SWB

Here is the 73 I picked up. The doors and fenders aren't usable but the cab and rest of the front end is really solid.

Some solid fenders I picked up, only surface rust no other rust issues.

Free 9" 31 spline TracLoc and Nodular center.

Free 4.8, needs rebuilt but couldn't pass it up. No front accessories

New box the wife got me!!

Re: 85 Chevy SWB

I am now on the hunt for a decent 4l80e to swap in the truck. The $100 th350 I bought 6 years ago is starting to slip. Once I get the 4l80e in I am going to redo the exhaust. I am getting some speed engineering headers, x-pipe, and I already have dynomax bullets to put on it. Once I start working on the truck I will post some more updates.

Re: 85 Chevy SWB

I found a 4l80e and I am just about ready to swap cabs. I will start taking some pictures with the updates.
