new wheels and tires
I am to the point where I need to make a decision on wheels and tires for my 66. I am going five lugs with the disk brake conversion so the 6 lug truck rally’s have to go. I also plan on using white metal flake on the roof, between the fleetside molding, dash, door panels and bench seat. I thought photo shop would help me make a decision but I really like all three wheel choices. What do you guys think?
1. Baby moons and chrome trim rings with wide white walls. 2. Corvette rally’s with BF Goodrich radials. 3. Supremes with wide white walls.

Re: new wheels and tires
Whitewalls with baby moons and chrome rings is my vote. Rallies are second choice
But then I like the old skool look. Go with what YOU like and do not look back BTW- you have a really nice truck that will stand out what ever you choose!!

Re: new wheels and tires
You can't go wrong... all 3 look great.
The baby moons & WWWs look the best IMO. Supremes are a close 2nd. |

Re: new wheels and tires
On second thought, I bet the baby moons with reg tires, not whitewalls, would look really good!

Re: new wheels and tires
I've always said "wheels and tires make the car" (or truck). Amazing how 3 different styles completely change the personality of the truck. My favorite would be the rallys with blackwalls, but it really depends on which style best reflects your personality/preferences. I'd suggest get all three and rotate them every so often as the mood suits you!

Re: new wheels and tires
#2 gets my vote...I'm saving up for a set myself.
But....the baby moons would look good on chrome steelies and blackwalls.

Re: new wheels and tires
I like the Vette rally's and BFG's, but then again I have different tastes than most. The baby moons and trim rings would be my second choice, but I'd likely go with blackwalls. But as alread said, go with what you like the most.....or like Markeb01 said, get all 3 and rotate them.

Re: new wheels and tires
Well if you go big flake on the roof then the Astro's give it that disco 70's kustom look, but if you want to keep it clean and old skool go with the Smoothies in pic 1

Re: new wheels and tires
Im kinda feeling what DRTYRAT30 said. If your gonna have a bagged, slammed truck with flake or pearl roof then then my vote would be for the Supreme's on skinny whites. I think with the stance you have now i like the first choice. All three look cool.

I like the Baby Moons, but don't forget about Americans.
They look smoking on our trucks. Check this: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=379110

Re: new wheels and tires
That looks much better. The size of the stripes, tires, wheels and stance are really important to making these look "right".

Re: new wheels and tires
I dont like car rallies on trucks but between the 3 I would go w/ those. To me the moons fit better w/ 50s, especially w/ the wide whites, rallies w/ 60s and those others go w/ 70s IMO.
