Re: Choices, Choices.... (Paint Color)

Ok here i go since i have changed my paint color about 500 times.. ill tell you what colors i think look great on these trucks. Red looks great on this truck! White perfect color shows off the body and its nice lines! Black always looks good! Any type or candy apple red color always looks good! Silver's even pewter color would look great! The light blue that the new ZR1 comes in would look great! These truck expect wild colors really well! I wanted cyber grey on my truck but in all reality these truck don't look their best in grey hints why i got away from the grey colors! But if you are in love it that color then do it!

Good luck and stick to your guns!

Re: Choices, Choices.... (Paint Color)

I think I am really liking the white on these trucks. The more I look at
classic87's truck and ACE-X truck I am really leaning torwards white. Now just to find a nice shade without too much pearl.

Re: Choices, Choices.... (Paint Color)

Well after waaaaay too much debate and lost sleep( I dont know why I do this to myself) I have decided on a paint color. I think I am going to do the good vs. evil thing and since I have the black shorty this one is going to be BMW, Alpine White. Well, unless I see another white I like better.

Re: Choices, Choices.... (Paint Color)

That blue and white would look hot with the factory 73-80 trim. I'm not sayin', just sayin'.

Re: Choices, Choices.... (Paint Color)

Definately going with the 81-87 front end. Although the two tone idea is killing me. All I keep thinking about is Hills yellow and white LMC truck! Anyone care to photoshop that???

Re: Choices, Choices.... (Paint Color)

I say paint it purple with yellow polka-dots

Just kidding here's that same truck I made a single cab. Im painting my GMC back to original just like that except with the factory dark blue instead of that metallic blue.

Two tones are awesome on these trucks. Can't wait until you decide I know it will be super cool. The more I follow you guys build crew shorties, it makes me want one too.
