Re: All you SWB guys are killing me...............
^ Im not saying shortbeds cant haul, im saying long beds NORMALY haul. You never see a long bed drag car or what ever, but you see alot of short beds. BTW you do have a pretty truck. I like how it matches your boat.

Re: All you SWB guys are killing me...............
Now, now fellas.....we all know that size does matter when getting the job done. While shortbeds are "cute"...like Chevy Luvs and what-not, they simply can't compete when it counts.
Really, is there anything sadder than a classic case of envy concerning length? It's ok...y'all shortbed guys keep telling yourself us longbed lovers wanna be jes' like you. We'll let you convince yourself that this truly is the case if it makes you feel better. It's jes' like havin' a li'l brother....where ya gotta assure him he's jes' as strong as you are, even though he's clearly built on a smaller frame. ![]() I believe that a shortbeds desireability comes from its uniqueness, in that not enough people ever wanted them to ever make them in large numbers. ![]() ![]() ![]() Don't get me wrong....SWB trucks are adorable. I like that thing that looks like a truck bed right behind the cab.....reminds me so much of an El Camino. ![]() Why...it must hold at least 3, maybe 4 suitcases?: It was the soccer-mom weekend truck before they invented soccer moms. ![]() My granny used to have one to haul her groceries. I believe she got 6 or 7 bags back there. Last edited by 69 Okie Truck; 12-19-2010 at 07:25 PM. |

Except when it comes to magazine coverage, truck show trophies, and resale value.

Re: All you SWB guys are killing me...............
Ummm....er......well....cough....
They ARE house slippers. Blue fuzzy ones (he admitted quite sheepishly) Went to a rally. Had to take off my combat boots, climb into a bed and wait for the whistle. Then I had to jump out of a bed, slip on the house shoes, jump over a fence, jump onto my parked bike, fire it up and race across a finish line in the timed event "Jealous hubby comes home" I didn't win THAT event, but DID win the one with the bodaciously well endowed (and perfectly topless) 18 year old girl riding on the back of my bike as she placed tennis balls in the hole on the top of traffic cones as I slowly and carefully slithered through the maze of them without putting my feet down. I can't post those pics though......... ![]() |

Re: All you SWB guys are killing me...............
I had to actually go back and read the original post. It was something about a guy that thought about building a longbed but then realized it's a little depressing when you look at a SWB......something like that.
