Front spoiler
I am looking for a front spoiler that mounts under the bumpers of the 67-72 chevy trucks. If anyone has one or know where I could find one, please let me know. I wish someone would start making them again. I wish I could find a mold of them.
Thanks a lot, Carnell |

Re: Front spoiler
I remember a guy on eBay was selling them. And I believe that is the one. It is the only one I've seen. I really like it too. It's metal not plastic. Thanks for posting the site. Now I want one.

Re: Front spoiler
Why did I look , now I want one. They are sharp and will distinguish your truck from everyone elses. I think they would look especially good on a 71-72 Chev Burb.

Re: Front spoiler
I'm curious as to what that will do to your fuel mileage.
I've read that a little spoiler like that cleans up the air under the vehicle and IMPROVES gas mileage.

Re: Front spoiler
Why not go to the Chevy dealer and buy one as I did. They are like $35.00. They are plastic and easly mount and if you hit a bump they can take it without ripping it off. Mine has hit many times. You can see the road scares up close.
If my memory serves me right it's for the 80's model chevy trucks. You can cut it with a razor knife.

Re: Front spoiler
Andy, do you have more information/pics on how you mounted air dam? Is it just bolted to the bottom of the bumper? Dees it bolt to the fender? Did you have to cut down/modify it to fit or just for looks?
Sorry for all the questions, I am just excited!

Re: Front spoiler
A guy at Brothers truck show last year had one on his truck from a late 90's Tahoe. It looked real good, like the factory put it there.

Re: Front spoiler
I just went out and took these with my IPhone so bare with me. The spoiler has a flange that you can drill the holes where you need them. I have 2- 7/16" 1/4 -20 bolts in the frame rails and 2 small brackets in the inside fender holding it up. You could cut the spoiler off and not do the 2 fendr ones but I liked the way it looked with the corners on it.
As I said it's plastic so you can make it look anyway you want it to. I took 2 small c-clamps and centered it and drilled the holes. It took me a couple of times centering it but I had no help. This is the inner fender mounts I made. A couple of more of it.

Re: Front spoiler
Don't mean to take anything away from this vendor, just giving out some info that I know about. We all like choices and this is just one I picked. When I installed this back in the early 90's like a lot of my mods there weren't all these vendors out there to use. I used what I had available to me at the time.

Re: Front spoiler
I wonder if they really do help fuel mileage? I would get one if I knew it would help. Anybody running one that has seen an improvement in fuel economy?

Re: Front spoiler
Sorry can't say either way. I've had so many mods done over the years it's hard to say. I can't see it helping enough though to notice. Just my cents worth!

Re: Front spoiler
I'm planning on trying to use the front spoiler from my 91 donor truck on my 69. Haven't gotten to it yet though.

Re: Front spoiler
heres mine. it's a stock gm for a 1991 454ss truck. fabed 3/4 flat bar and boltedit on, two bolts into the frame and two screws at the corners in to the fender. a person could use a spoiler from a early 90s chev as well.

Re: Front spoiler
The company I got this on from doesn't produce them any more, but it may give some ideas.

I don't see them listed, but they do make them for 73-80...
